1.        Applications:
Heavy duty hot work tools and dies, large and massive hot working tools in die forging presses, pressure casting dies for light metal alloys such as Al, Zn and Mg, inner liners, sleeves, mandrels, dies and containers for metal tube and rod extrusion, hot impact extrusion equipments, tools and dies for the manufacturing hollow bodies, screws, rivets, nuts and bolts, hot shear blades, forging dies and press dies for extremly high wearing stresses, hot forming dies, die casting equipments, die inserts, plastic moulding dies.

3.        Mechanical Properties:
Cr-Mo-V alloyed hot work tool steel with superior hot tensile strength and high retention of hardness, higher hot wear resistance than 1.2344 and 1.2365, good high temperature toughness and resistance to heat checking, low tendency to distorsion, low P and S content, extra fine structure without grain boundary carbide, high hardenability, nitridable, suitable for water cooling. This grade can be produced on request by the process EFS, ESR or VAR.

Soft annealed to max. 205 HB.
