1.        Application:

High performance cutting, punching, blanking tools up to 4 mm sheet thickness, blanking dies for cutting transformer and dynamo sheets up to 2 mm thickness, cold shear blades for paper, plastic, cardboard and metal, woodworking tools, thread rolling dies, deep drawing and cold extrusion tools, pressing tools for the ceramic, pharmaceutical, brick and refractory industries, sand blasting nozzles, shaping, flanging and beading tools, broaches, reamers, tools for the manufacture of wire, rods and tubes, measuring tools, scraping and trimming tools, deburing tools, punches and dies for cold nut manufacture, knurling tools, cold pilger mandrels, moulds for abrasive plastics.

3.        characteristics:

High performance chrome steel of ledeburitic type for cold work. The steel is recognized for excellent wear resistance, high compression strength, and low deformation durning heat processing.

 

4.        Mechanical properties:

High carbon and high chromium, dimensionally stable, ledeburitic 12 % Cr alloyed cold work tool steel, non-deforming, better hardenability, higher cutting capacity and improved wear resistance than 1.2080, low distorsion, good edge holding properties, deep hardening, high compressive strength, high surface hardness after hardening, suitable for air hardening.

 

5.        Delivery condition:
