1.        Application:

Highly exposed moulds for plastic material casting. Dieing and perforation devices for sheet metal up to 6 mm, cutting devices for cold work. Devices for cutting threads.

2.        Characteristics:

Medium alloyed steel for cold work and good ability to harden, low dimension deformability during heat processing, high resistance to wear, and high compression strength.

4.        Mechanical properties:

Oil hardenable medium alloyed cold work tool steel, highest dimensional stability during heat treatment, shallow dept of hardening, good wear resistance and toughness, easy to machine and simple heat treatment, good cutting ability and edge holding properties, low distortion, low polishability.

 

5.        Delivery condition:

Annealed steel, max.229 HB.
